Different bathroom styles: which style suits you?

The summer holidays are over, time to roll up your sleeves. Maybe it's time to finally give the bathroom a makeover ? Dive into the different bathroom styles and trends of the moment and discover which style suits you.

Choices, choices...

You've finally taken the plunge to tackle the bathroom, but now the work really begins. Do you want a shower or also a bath? Are you going for tiles on the floor and if so, what color? Are you going for a single or a double sink? And which style do you choose for your bathroom?

To guide you a little bit, today we share four different bathroom styles that are on trend at the moment, but are also very timeless at the same time. This way you can be sure that you will not be faced with all these choices again in 3 years.

Different bathroom styles

This blog focuses on four different bathroom styles:

  • Modern & colorful
  • Scandinavian & light
  • Industrial & tough
  • Classic & chic

The advantage of choosing one style is that you define your choices. Some styles will overlap a bit here and there, but you don't easily place an industrial metal sink in a classic bathroom. This way you limit the number of choices for yourself and you can start your bathroom makeover faster!

bathroom styles

Modern & colorful

If you want to go for the hippest of the hippest, choose terrazzo. This is a kind of mosaic of natural stone incorporated in cement. Ideal for your bathroom floor, the 'speckles' make stains or dirt less noticeable.

Did you know that you can also go for a terrazzo sink ? The different colors of natural stone provide a cheerful and playful effect in your bathroom. Moreover, you can easily match the rest of the colors in your bathroom with one of the colors from the terrazzo.

Nowadays, various accessories such as soap dispensers and toothbrush holders are also available in terrazzo. Go all out or stick to a terrazzo sink as a showpiece.

scandinavian bathroom styles

Scandinavian & light

When you think of Scandinavia, you think of stylish design. But also wellness and saunas. Let the two combine perfectly. The key elements for a Scandinavian bathroom are wood & light, white materials.

Go for light oak bathroom furniture with a sleek design washbasin . Want to add a little color to your bathroom? Then choose a soothing color, such as light green or light blue.

Keep your bathroom as minimalistic as possible in terms of details, let all the attention go to your beautiful designer furniture. Where possible, work with daylight or create extra light and space in your bathroom by installing extra mirrors .

industrial bathroom style

Industrial & tough

If it's a bit tougher for you, go for a bathroom with an industrial look. Think of dark colors and materials such as wood and metal and leave out all the frills. Go for a bathroom without too much fuss, and don't finish everything too tightly for a somewhat tougher look .

Choose a beautiful cast floor or tiles with a concrete look. Thinking about a walk-in shower? Then go for an industrial shower enclosure made of black steel and glass.

You can easily create an industrial look with a bathroom furniture with a metal frame . Complete the picture with black faucets. Do you want to go one step further? Then go for a black toilet and black bathtub!

gold tap

Classic & chic

For a classic and chic bathroom, it's mainly in the details and finish. Think of gold faucets , but keep your bathroom calm in terms of color. Go for classic white or soft pastel colours.

Opt for a marble washbasin for a chic touch , or a classic white washbasin . Keep your floor and walls simple, rather focus on accessories such as luxurious towels and a nice soft bath mat.
