Plants only suitable for your living room? We don't believe in that. The more plants in your home, the better for your health. Another nice bonus: they provide a fresh and fruity interior where all that greenery creates more dynamism. Some caution is required for plants in your bathroom if you don't want to send your urban jungle straight to plant heaven. Your bathroom often has less light and higher humidity, so you have to choose your plants carefully and take care of them regularly. Yet there are many plants that thrive in your bathroom, bring more cosiness and can create a feeling of wellness. We list them for you.
The popularity of bathroom plants, so-called shower plants , is on the rise on Instagram and Pinterest. These are often plants that survive extremely well in a warm and humid climate, making them feel completely at home in your bathroom. The result is tropical plants that require little water and take full advantage of the high humidity in your home spa.
If you want to give your bathroom a green look, look for tropical plants such as bromeliads, orchids, sanseverias or ferns. Also work with different heights. This way you don't always have to place your plants on the floor, but you can also place them on your washbasin or hang them in the air in original crocheted plant hangers or baskets. Make sure that in that case the roots of your plant do not dry out.

The grass lily or chlorophytum comosum is the best plant if you want to integrate some greenery into a small bathroom. The grass lily does not need much light and takes up little space. Moreover, the plant even prefers to grow in a small pot. Spray grass lily weekly and water twice a week and you'll have a solid dose of greenery in your private spa.

Ferns love high humidity and are therefore extremely suitable for bathrooms. The colors vary widely from deep dark green to light green, light gray and bronze. Ferns are very easy to maintain. Give them enough water - they must always be in moist soil - and extra food every week. In this way they not only provide a cheerful green touch, but they also purify harmful substances from the air of your bathroom.µ

You can add a portion of elegance to your bathroom with enchanting orchids. Few plants are so beautiful and graceful, but the orchid has quite a difficult reputation. In this way, it wilts quickly if it is treated incorrectly. Every 14 days, let the pot be well flooded with nutrients, let the root ball dry out thoroughly afterwards and pick wilted flowers. This way the orchid will continue to enjoy the high humidity in your bathroom in optimal condition.

Aloe vera is also a strong plant that survives well in your warm bathroom. Sun or shade, it doesn't matter, as long as this plant can optimally enjoy the humidity. Do not add too much water, as this will drown the aloe vera.
